Right of withdrawal
Last updated: June 2026
This is a convenience translation. The Dutch version is the legally binding text.
Statutory right of withdrawal
As a consumer, under the Dutch distance-selling rules you normally have the right to withdraw from (cancel) an agreement within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason.
Exception for digital content
For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium — such as a digital address report — a statutory exception applies (art. 6:230p sub g of the Dutch Civil Code).
By ordering a report from CheckBuurt.NL and agreeing to immediate delivery, you give express consent to delivery before the withdrawal period expires. Once the report has been generated and delivered to you, you thereby waive your right of withdrawal.
Exceptions: when will we still help you?
Despite the lapse of the right of withdrawal, we are always there for you in case of:
- Non-delivery — you paid but did not receive a report link.
- Technical problem — the report cannot be opened or read due to a technical error.
- Clearly defective report — the report contains an evident, serious error that prevents its use.
In those cases, contact us at support@checkbuurt.nl. We will then look for an appropriate solution together, including — where applicable — a refund of the purchase amount.
