About CheckBuurt.NL
Viewing a house costs you half a day. The photos on Funda say nothing about the neighbourhood: how safe it is, how liveable, how much noise, which schools, what energy label. That information does exist — at CBS, the Police, the RIVM, the Leefbaarometer, DUO and EP-Online — but it is scattered across portals full of tables that nobody wants to dig through before a viewing.
CheckBuurt.NL pulls those eight official sources together for one address and turns them into a single readable verdict: is this worth viewing, and which questions should you ask? Not a dashboard full of figures — a clear answer.
What makes us different
- Interpretation, not a data dump. Other sites show raw statistics. We tell you what they mean for your situation — with a profile fit and concrete questions to ask at the viewing.
- Honest about what we don't know. Does a figure apply to the neighbourhood and not to the house? Then we say so. Does a source have no data for this neighbourhood? Then we show "no data" instead of a zero that suggests "safe".
- Source and resolution with every figure. You always see where a number comes from and at what level it applies. Read our methodology.
